A note from the curator...
Ryan Snow is a photographer with a distinctive technique that yields surreal, washed out, vintage feeling landscapes. Snow starts with medium format film, makes limited edition prints on stretched canvas, and then, hand finishes each with a beeswax coating to make each piece completely unique. Reminiscent of Massimo Vitali, Ryan Snow's pictures look like idyllic scenes from mid-century postcards, but somehow also feels fresh, modern and timeless on the wall.
